Extra Activity


Talofa bloggers!!!! Todays task is to blog about two plants that you dont see everyday. The two plants I have chosen is the Rafflesia Arnoldii and the Baseball plant.     Well done on completing another Summer Learning Journey activity, 'Stranger than Fiction'. You have shared a detailed post about the similarities and difference between these plants. I really like your fact that the Baseball plant is a protected plant as it is so rare in the wild. That is a really interesting fact, thank you for sharing. I did some further exploring and found that it has almost become extinct in the will because people were taking it from the wild to keep for themselves. Big gardening stores are now encouraging people to buy the plant from the stores, to stop people taking the rare plant from the wild.

    I also learnt that the Rafflesia Arnoldii is the biggest individual flower in the world. I just looked it up and found a video on YouTube showing the vast size of the flower. It is a lot bigger than I expected. Wow!
