The special Assembly

The Memorial Assembly

Hello again my bloggers! Our School has acknowledges the tragedy that happened in Christchurch the 15th of March 2019. If you don't know what happened it was a mass attack at two different Mosques Al Noor and Linwood Mosque. It was a very sad day, the man who did it was caught by the police before he went to another Mosque. Our class was very sad so we decided to make cards for the Mosque's and the schools who went in lock down for about 4 hours and our whole school planted a kowhai tree in remembrance of that day. We are now going to get a little sign to say why we have the kowhai tree.

Our awesome teachers made a document on the Christchurch accident. On the Document it has photos and things all about the Mass Shooting. Also on the page it had a link to the Give a Little page. On the give a little page you can give abit of Money to Christchurch for the Families of the people who have died. You can Give as Little as $5.00 on the page, our teacher Miss Daly gave $20.00 on the page and that was just enough to help the people in Christchurch. We had a Family fun Day for everyone in the community. At 1:30 we stopped and gathered at the courts and listened to the word of prayer and did a two minute silence for the people who were hurt or died.

The Ripper Rugby!

Ripper Rugby Zones

Wow! The Waikowhai Ripper Rugby team is so amazing!!! Ten kids were chosen to go represent Waikowhai Primary School at Ripper Rugby Zones on Tuesday last week. Only 7 students could play a time with 3 subs. The students went to Cox's Bay with about 20 other schools there. They played 5 amazing games, won 3 games but lost two games. They met one of the kids that used to come to our school. They came in the top eight but unfortunately they did not make it in the top 3 but they came 6th which is still amazing because there were about 20 other schools there.
Fact: Our awesome Waikowhai team went to go play a game but that team did not turn up so they did 5 vs 5 against each other. I learnt that the Waiowhai students are one of the best Ripper rugby teams in the middle of Auckland.

Angelina's Getting to know you

Talofa lava and Hello Bloggers!
Welcome to 2019, bloggers! I can't wait to share all my hard work with you starting with this piece of work. Te Waka Ako has been doing a Getting To Know You sheet. A getting to know you sheet is when you tell people all about you so they can know you better! You tell people who your friends are, what you are good at and what you like and don't like. You have to describe and use as many details as you can. I really enjoyed doing what I like because it was easy and really positive. It was challenging to do it, but we managed to get it done. Hope you enjoy reading my Getting To Know You sheet.
