Choir

APPA Choir
Hey bloggers today I will be blogging about Choir. We did Choir on the 26th of November. We had our Choir in the city at the town hall. Miss Mcgrath was our Choir trainer and the assistant conductor for Mr Jonathan Lambert also guest conductor Ms Mountcstle. We had to put a lot of commitment into this and we had to make sure we showed up to all the rehearsals. It was hard and fun at the same time. The hard bit was getting to school early and making sure you had everything, the fun bit was that we always sang songs and laugh all the time.
On the night we first sang Dona Nobis Pacem which it literally means Peace. The rest of the songs were good but my favourite one is The Eye Of the Tiger. The best thing about choir is even though the rehearsals are long and sometimes boring I get to sing with my friends and Ayva who is very funny. When we were singing on the night a kapa haka group came on it was so cool to see their pis and sticks. I had such a good time and I am glad that I joined. I would do it again anytime.

Athletic's Day

Athletics ♡
On the 17th of November we had Athletic's day. Our whole school had been preparing for weeks. We had 12 events that we did through out the day. They were Shotput/Discuss, Fun throws, Sprints, Long jump, High Jump and more. My group was the 10/11 year old girls.
Our first events were Shotput/Discuss but we didn't have time for Discuss. We had fun and we all went really far. Miss Butler was running the Shotput. Then we went to Louise for fun throws. At fun throws there are different things to throw. My favourite was the rainbow one because it is very easy to throw and it goes far. I loved all the other events but my favourite was sprints. I found it very easy. I very liked the House rely's. Kea kept on winning but in the end Tui my team came 2nd. I had so much fun through the day and I can't wait for next year and zones.

Vector Epro 8

That was tough!💪

Talofa Bloggers! Yesterday on the 7th of November we went to participated in the Vector Epro 8 semi-finals heat. We had been practicing a lot for this day. Twelve teams had made it through to the semi-final and we were one of them. Once we got there we had to choose a song for our button. It took us a while but in the end we quickly put our team name next to Pink Fluffy Unicorns Dancing on rainbows. Miss Daly HATED it. Miss Daly is our teacher that takes us and trains us. It was time all the other teams were there. 5, 4, 3 2, 1 GO! Everyone went to their station and chose their challenge. There was a juice maker and with this task you had to pour it and more. Apple picking you had to make a tool that could pick the highest apple on the tree and the last on was a conveyor belt. You had to make a banana move on a conveyor belt. Our team first chose the Orange Juice Challenge but it was to hard and the instruction didn't seem clear. We changed after 20 minutes we were BEHIND! Then we chose the Conveyor belt it was very hard. We went well and just had to fix a few things. The worst thing that happened was when our gears got caught and it wouldn't move. Also when Andrew our host came and checked our work then broke our motor. At the end we had to do apple picking and put our assignment aside. We didn't get to do it in time. I think we did very well and that we can try again next year. We came 6th out of 12 groups. Last year they also came 6th. I had a wonderful time and my favourite part was trying to get the lasers in line. I had a fun time and hope I can do it again!

I hope you enjoyed my blog post!

Futsal

Futsal! 😛😉

Kia Ora bloggers! Today I will be blogging about Futsal. For the past three weeks we have been doing Futsal for our kiwi sport at school. My class does it every Wednesday after lunch. Our coach is Kingsly and the other one is Coach Leon. We are doing futsal for the rest of the term. The first lesson we did Kingsly taught us how to dribble the ball and to juggle. We juggled with our knees and our feet. Then we played numbers, it is a simple and fun game to help with Futsal. Kingsly gave us a number and when he called it you run up and verse the other team the has the same number as you. Th next lesson was fun we dribbled as a warm up and then we played head and catch with kingsly it was so fun Nikhil and Jia won so they versed in the final. Jia won.The last one we had this week was we dribbled and played a game called shark attack. Shark attack is where 4 people where a bib and they have to try stand on the other peoples ball. We played for a while then we had to go. I love Futsal and it is so fun.
